Seeing Life As It Really Is – Part 2

Posted on Monday, May 23rd, 2011 by LynneSmith

It isn’t important what happens to us or around us, but how we respond to these events, circumstances or people.  It is like saying “Here I am, do what you want with me.” We need to face our fears, confront our doubts, overcome our negative self-talk and tendencies and start to trust ourselves. Seeing Life As It Really Is – part 1

Life is an on-going and perpetual experience. We filter our life’s experiences through our own ‘maps of reality’ and personal experiences … and this leads to our behaviours.  Life is not what happens to us or around us, but whether we choose to see it clearly and then, how we respond to it. We tend to apply our personal judgments, opinions, beliefs and experiences to all aspects of our life as a reference point for us.  Life is like a classroom, where there is a constant stream of loving teachers and professionals helping us to rise above our personal limitations, to access our life dreams and to help bring in clarity and focus.

How Do We Encourage Others When They Treat Us Badly?

A small lesson from the spirit of the geese.  The geese  fly in “V” formation and as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an “uplift” for the bird following.  When the leading goose gets tired, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies at the point position.  The “honking” that we hear when we see the geese in formation in the sky, is encouragement being sent from behind to encourage those up in front to keep up their speed.  We also need to make sure our “honking” from behind is encouraging to our fellow employees, teammates,  friends, acquatainces and family.  “honk” “honk”
